Safety & Well-Being: A Basic Part of Brotherhood

Hello my brothers and sisters,

I always want to take a moment of your time to make sure you’re being safe and taking care of each other. We all are our brothers and sisters in our IBEW. WE should all be concerned for each other’s safety and well-being. That is the very basic part of Brotherhood.

It is a tradition that as an IBEW member‘s we install the work at our trade’s highest standards. In order to accomplish this, our safety standards must also be at its highest level to allow us to perform such work. The safer you are, the more efficient you are and less stressed you are. Use the right tool or ladder for the job. If you see something unsafe, correct it or let me know so I can address it.

Be looking for new Safety Program when it rolls out. It is called “I am My Brothers and Sisters Keeper” There is never a right time to do the wrong thing and never a wrong time to do the right thing.  If you have any safety issues or concerns, please do not hesitate to call.

Be safe. Work together. Lift one another. God bless us all. It is an honor to serve you.

YIB,
Bro. Ivan De Herrera, Jr.
Asst. Business Manager
Director of Safety
