District 6 — July Report

Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to talk to you this month about union pride. We all have our own definition and I would like to take a moment to give you mine. Union pride is getting involved, keeping your dues current, and attending and understanding the general and district meetings. Union pride is understanding that you have the freedom to voice your complaints on social media, but they should also be voiced in a meeting or expressed to the union representation. In the field, union pride means you never break the rules of our CBA or constitution, you work hard to be good at your trade, work safe and give an honest “8 for 8”. I’m sure many of you have heard me mention that I’m a third–generation member and I was born on IBEW benefits. My family has a long history in this Union, and I hold the IBEW close to my heart. I welcome you to tell me how you define it so I can continue to expand my definition. I am always available for any of your questions or concerns.

Thank you for your time.
